Q&A
- Will the green tea version of this drink be available again at any point?
- Hi Ruby, We don't have any plans to I'm afraid the blend will remain a fruit blend going forward. Andi @ B&B
- Hello. What is the caffeine content of Blue Raspberry, i thought it sais on the website but i cant find it 😅 Thank you xxx
- Hello Daisy, Thank you for getting in touch with a great question! Blue Raspberry is a green tea blend, so this does contain caffeine but not a large amount. We would class this as a low caffeine blend. The average 8 oz. cup contains around 25mg of caffeine. The amount of caffeine which actually ends up in your body is a wide varying scale with many influencing factors such as age of leaf, water temperature, steeping time and many others. The caffeine in green tea is also released slowly- producing a calming, conscious and focused energy. We have a blog post on this which may be helpful: https://www.birdandblendtea.com/blogs/tea-academy/does-green-tea-contain-caffeine?_pos=3&_psq=green%20tea&_ss=e&_v=1.0 Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns :) Lizzie @ B&B
- Is it ok for diabetics as a lot of products contain sugar or sweetners
- Hi Gail, thanks so much for asking a great question! Blue Raspberry doesn't contain any added sugar or sweeteners, only the trace amounts found in the freeze dried raspberry. They should be perfectly safe for diabetics, but don't forget to check our allergens page for a bit more info: https://www.birdandblendtea.com/pages/allergens-tea Happy Sipping! Ian @ B&B
- Hi do any of your teas contain liquorice?
- Hi Alison, Thank you so much for your question! We do have liquorice in a couple of our blends. You can check out all the ingredients of each blend under the description of each tea on our website :) I hope this helps but please don't hesitate to get back in touch with us if you have any other questions! Yours Brew-ly, Marlie @ B&B
- What is the "nature flavouring"????
- Hi Joanna, Thank you so much for your question! With all of our blends, we only use natural ingredients. We have to use the word 'flavouring' for naturally derived flavours and extracts due to EU legislation that came in mid 2015. A great way to think about flavouring is the oils and essences that are used in classic British teas like Earl Grey, with lovely bergamot oil added to give it a lovely citrus hit. It's exactly the same as when another EU legislation came in about having to use bold and all caps for allergens. An example of this would be ALMONDS. Natural flavourings are made of components only derived from nature, as opposed to artificial flavours or nature-identical flavours which are the chemical equivalent of natural flavourings but are chemically synthesised rather than being extracted from natural raw materials. Natural flavourings are not necessarily made from the ingredients that you would assume they are. For example, our natural almond flavouring contains no actual nuts whatsoever! The recipe for the flavouring oil that is used contains only natural ingredients and does not contain any allergens and I would also add that any ingredients in the natural flavouring would be a very small amount (less than a trace). For a list of all our teas with allergens and the term flavouring, we have an allergens page on our UniversiTEA page of our website. Happy sipping! Marlie @ B&B
