    FAQs

    What are the brewing times & temperatures for different teas using the Brewdini?

    Rooibos tea, fruit tea, herbal tea & yerba mate tea: 100°C for 4+ minutes.

    Black tea: 100°C for 2-4 minutes.

    Pu'erh tea, oolong tea, white tea & green tea: 80°C for 3 minutes.
    How do you clean a brewdini gravity steeper?

    1. Take off the lid
    2. Take out the filter
    3. Pull the rubber seal off
    4. Finally remove the base

    You can wash it by hand with hot soapy water or you can put it in the dishwasher but we recommend hand washing the smaller parts so they do not get lost in the dishwasher.
    What is the brewdini gravity steeper made of?

    This is one of our few products made from plastic but it is 100% BPA free & sturdy.
    What is the capacity or the regular and large brewdini gravity steeper?

    Regular: 14cm L x 11cm W x 12cm D (9cm mug diameter or smaller) - 450ml.
    Large: 18cm L x 13cm W x 14cm D (11.5cm mug diameter or smaller) - 850ml.
    How many tea spoons do you recommend using?

    Regular: 1 teaspoon
    Large: 2 teaspoons

    However it is worth experimenting & finding your own preference on strength.

    Hi there. I recently bought the large Brewdini that can make two cups of tea. My question is if I was only going to make one cup how much water should I put in?

    Hi! First of all I love the design of the brewdini, I find drinking loose leaf tea so much easier! However I've been recently thinking alot about microplastics and the dangers, since the brewdini is plastic and coming in contact with alot of heat, is there anything you can weigh in with that would settle my worries? Have you considered making the same design with glass components?

While all plastics can release small amounts of particles over time, using BPA-free materials helps to minimise this.     The long pin with the silicone nob at the bottom of my brewdini broke off! Is there a way to fix this? or would i have to get a new one?
