The flavour was drowned by the excess ginger
After the lovely scent of the tea wafted from the bag, I was instantly excited; the smell is rich, warm and almost dizzyingly appealing. I brewed a cup with the recommended quantity of tea.
After taking a sip, I was smacked by an affront of incredibly potent ginger; it was exceptionally spicy, and more akin to a liquid madras than a cup of tea! The fieriness completely overwhelmed any of the flavours hiding behind the ginger which clearly takes centre stage. I think this tea could be much more tasty and palatable if they balanced the proportion of ginger to all the other lovely ingredients in the mixture. I liked the sound of them, but can't notice any of the subtler qualities of the tea because I was temporarily embodying a dragon and breathing fire for the next few hours.
Sadly, I have tasted mass market ginger teas and enjoyed them far more. I think the creator of this tea probably has an unnatural propensity for gingerbread, spice, and turning a typically pleasant experience into a gustatory gauntlet!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our Gingerbread Chai tea blend. I'm sorry to hear this wasn't your cuppa. We love to hear back from our communiTEA and the experiences they have with our brews as it is so valuable to us - especially when it turns them into a fire breathing dragon haha!
I find when I make my Gingerbread Chai latte, I always like to shake the bag up so that I get an even mix of ingredients in my brew, maybe this might help to bring out the other flavours for your cuppa too!
I have popped you an email to see if there is anything we can do :)
