"Out of all the matcha flavours Bird & Blend offers, Buttermint is hands down my absolute favourite! The taste instantly takes me back—it reminds me so much of classic Murray Mints. It has that delightfully smooth, creamy mint sweetness, but the flavour is perfectly balanced and not overpowering at all. It mixes so well and makes the most comforting latte."
"Love this, great clean tasting drink. No hint of anything artificial- smooth, buttery - reminds me of Murray mints! My new favourite matcha."
"Small tin but goes far."
"It's so good it reminds me of mint choc chip icecream. Delicious hot and cold"
"This would be my favourite matcha if Mint Choc Chip did not exist. Of course, out of season it doesn't so this is the reliable, delicious alternative. Really good iced as well as hot. Please do not ever remove it from the tea wall. (Or the tea version of it either for that matter)"
"Love butter mint matcha with oat milk and a dash of vanilla syrup. I drink it hot or cold, both are great. Reminds me of the old fashioned buttermint sweetie. X"
"My fav matcha was the summer mint choc chip flavour last year and since it's departure I had a minty matcha shaped whole in my heart but this matcha has filled that whole and is lovveeellyyy in the morning"
"This matcha is so comforting a drink, it's hard to describe. The scent in the tub isn't the best--very vegetal, grassy and bitter, and definitely not like a Werther's. But the flavour once it's made up is to die for. This drink (made as a traditional hot matcha) is a flavour that is so subtle and comforting that I hardly notice it on my tongue. There is plenty of flavour, but it hits just that right spot so as to slip by until I found I've sipped all of it without noticing! Profile-wise, it's got a very slight scent and background hint of mint without actually having the minty effect on the drink, just enough to lift it. I would say it tastes like a matcha plus except that it wouldn't be right for what I'm trying to describe--I feel like the flavour of the matcha is enhanced, but the aspects of it that are enhanced are the less-well-known notes. It's not got the usual grassiness or astringency; that's all softened by the delicate comfort of the flavour. I wouldn't call that buttery or creamy, but it has the effect cream has on a drink in that fashion. All in all, it's very difficult to put to words, but every cup I've finished I find myself thinking how amazing a matcha I just had and how one cup is not enough. A dangerous thing with a premium tea!"
"This is the only one I drink, I shared some with my friend now it’s the only one she drinks. Her son tried it - now it’s the only one he drinks. Don’t try it, you’ll be hooked!"
"I ordered it twice and this is my best try"
