For us, the Moomins are not just beloved characters; they represent a philosophy of life that resonates deeply with our own values. Created by Finnish author & artist Tove Jansson, Moominvalley is a place of warmth, openness, & unconditional welcome.
Life in Moominvalley centres on simple pleasures: exploring nature, sharing meals, &, most importantly, nurturing friendships. But beyond the nostalgic charm, the Moomins carry a profound emotional depth. Jansson, a queer writer who lived openly with her partner Tuulikki Pietilä, infused her work with quiet, radical themes of acceptance, individuality, & the importance of chosen family.
This collection is our tribute to that world. A space that feels both comforting & quietly radical, just like the Moominhouse itself.
