Let's be honest, there is nothing better than cake. Except perhaps a cup of tea and cake! Our Birthday Cake Tea is delicious, has both and almost no calories! Oh and did you notice the pretty sprinkles in there too? Talk about having your cake and eating it!
Tea Mixologist Top Tip: This one tastes awesome brewed hot with a splash of your favourite milk, or if you're feeling decadent try topping with frothed milk for an awesome cake-y tea latte!

I received a sample of the Birthday Cake tea.
I love how some Bird & Blend teas have sprinkles in them - I'm not sure if the sprinkles have any flavour but seeing them in my tea always makes me happy. The Birthday Cake tea so far is maybe one of the prettiest, with stars and mallow flowers. The smell of the tea is also incredible - out of all the B&B teas I tried, this one smells maybe the most like its name. The taste is much more subtle, but still delicious. I appreciate that it is not too sweet, while still retaining the hint of cake.

Sweet but weak. Price gives it low rating
An innovative blend of Rooibos, with faint hints of marzipan and icing, but the overall taste profile is a little weak. However, I would not order this again as at £15.60 for 150g it is an absolute rip-off, especially when competitive brands offer equally, even more compelling blends at two thirds the weight (100g) for around one third the price.
Bird and Blend needs to seriously rethink its pricing strategies.

In the terms of pricing, our small team hand pack every single one of blends, the tea and ingredients and all 100% natural and mostly vegan except the few blends with Scottish raw honey which is sourced from a small supplier. If that isn’t enough, we use only the most ethical supply chains - it’s important that our suppliers get paid a fair price for their tea. We are confident as a small business with our pricing and I'm sorry if you don't feel the same way.
