    Why is the matcha whisk unique to other milk frothers?

    The specialised programming and our uniquely designed whisk & basket attachment ensures the matcha powder slowly filters through the whisk coils to create a silky smooth matcha latte. Make froth, not lumps! The Magic Whisk is designed to heat the milk to around 70°C, the perfect temperature to brew matcha without burning the powder for the best taste.
    How long does it take to make a matcha latte?

    The whisk programming settings are complete when the temperature (70°C) is reached, taking around 2 minutes if the lid is on.
    What is the capacity of the magic whisk?

    The Magic Whisk will hold a maximum of 250 ml of milk, you can use non-dairy alternatives, we recommend oat milk for the perfect creamy latte. Please do not use water.
    How do I clean my magic whisk?

    To clean your Magic Whisk, first unplug it and detach the jug from the power base. It’s best to clean it straight after each use. Rinse and clean the inside of the jug using warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive cloth, then dry it thoroughly. Never immerse the jug or power base in water.

    If you notice a milk layer at the bottom of the jug, soak it in warm, soapy water for a few hours, then gently wipe it away with a non-abrasive cloth.

    The whisk, basket, and lid can be washed in the dishwasher on a cycle below 40°C. However, the jug and power base should never be placed in the dishwasher.

    Expensive but worth the investment

    "I recently parted ways with my Tassimo machine and wanted a healthier alternative and what better than Matcha? I am absolutely hopeless with a hand whisk so this wee machine is perfect and brews the perfect matcha every time. Its a lovely colour (I am a purple gal) and not chunky so barely takes up any room on your worktop. It is a bit pricey but absolutely worth the investment."

    "Absolutely amazing little product, makes perfect matcha everytime and is so quick and easy to use, great for mornings when you just need to grab and go. Comes with instructions on both hot and cold matcha so can be used to make either. Would also recommend the taster selection box if your new to matcha or want to try new flavours as it provides a decent range of flavours available. Mixer is a little on the expensive side but if you enjoy and make matcha often it's definitely a worthwhile product to add to your kitchen."

    I didn't know I needed one!

    "I felt so guilty buying it, imagining it would soon join the little family of machines in the back of the cupboard. It is a dream to use, so easy to make a fantastic, smooth matcha. I had another brand of milk frother, but it was a hygiene nightmare, so many rubber seals in the lid and an interior that was almost impossible to keep clean but the B&B matcha maker has a completely smooth interior which makes cleaning it an absolute doddle. In operation it is really quiet and it is easily the best gadget purchase I've made. I'm using it every day and can't see that changing."

    Underwhelming

    "I had really high hopes for this product. Great at whisking the matcha and fine for iced lattes, but disappointing for hot lattes, which was the main purpose of buying. Magic whisk lacks the thicker creamy texture. Would rather just whisk the powder with milk and add to a milk frother for that frothy feel. Relegated to the back of the cupboard after 5 uses. Waste of money."

    "I really wanted to love this, had done my research and felt confident that buying it would be worth it. Whilst it’s great at whisking and removes that step, i actually prefer the texture with milk from a standard milk frother. Fine for iced matcha but if feel it misses that thick/foaminess of a matcha latte. Wished I could have tested before buying. Will be relegated to the back of the cupboard."

    Can I put this in the dishwasher?

    Could I use this for hot chocolate (made with chocolate flakes) as well as Matcha? I enjoy drinking both and use the steam wand on the coffee machine currently, but would rather a whisk like this.
    Hi Sally, The whisk is great with most powdered drinks, so powdered hot chocolate would be fine here! My only worry with chocolate flakes is that the 70 degrees that our Magic Whisk reaches might not melt the chocolate as much as you'd like. Stick with powdered and it'll work a treat!
