I was gifted the six month box and although the website proudly advertises the ability to change the teas in your subscription I wasn’t allowed to change anything. I am an avid tea enthusiast. Sadly this company seems to cater for people that do not enjoy the flavour of tea. Every tea they send out is flavoured with ridiculous combinations and excessively powerful things that mask the flavour of the tea leaves. It’s a great shame because I can see the leaves seem to be of good quality, or they at least expand to be large once brewed. Sadly I won’t ever be able to taste the actual tea because the flavours are completely obscured by freeze dried crème brûlée and other such atrocities. And with no options to change to any of the unflavoured options. A thoroughly disappointing and needlessly awkward customer experience that could be prevented.

You’re absolutely right that our rolling monthly subscriptions are flexible and can be changed to suit preferences. However, with our pre-paid gift subscriptions, the boxes are all pre-ordered in advance, which is why they don’t have the same flexibility to swap teas. I’m so sorry if this wasn’t clear when the gift was purchased.
We’re genuinely sad to hear you haven’t enjoyed the blends so far. While we do love to get creative with flavours, we completely appreciate that they’re not for everyone, and that some people prefer their teas in a more traditional, unflavoured style.
As mentioned on your call with us, we’d be very happy to arrange a refund for the remaining 3 boxes of your gift subscription. This would need to be processed back to the original payment method, so the gift giver would need to get in touch with us directly if they’d like to go ahead.
