    Mmmm delicious.

"My new favourite mid morning tea (and maybe afternoon too!) Mint pistachio is so refreshing and also has a small hit of caffeine to give me the energy boost. The cardamom subtly adds to the mint, a beautiful blend 🤩"

    Rachael C. (5/5)

    Subtle

"The Mint is quite strong but the nutty flavour of pistachio doesnt come through as much. According to the ingredients there actually isnt any pistachio in there but there is a slight nutty flavour in it, just a bit overpowered by the mint"

    Nick A. (4/5)

Would have again, but not quite as good as the other mint teas.

"This is really nice tea if you like a little mint. However, I personally would rather have one of the other B&B mint teas which has a stronger mint taste."

    Catherine B. (4/5)

    Something different

"I find this very soothing and indulgent at the same time - I’d say the flavour is more almond than pistachio, but delicious."

    Katie C. (5/5)

Mint and pistachio - who knew!

"Who knew this would be such a beautiful mix? I like mine with some mushroom powder (like reishi/lions mane etc) and a hint of milk. Feels like a total immune kicking tea and tastes amazing. If you don't like nuts you obviously won't like this. It's minty, it's nutty, it's gorgeous!"

    Fern (5/5)

    Surprisingly delicious

"I had my suspicions about this one- especially the smell that hit me when I opened the packet! However, it's a nicely minty, pistachio sweet flavour that's not overwhelming and goes nicely with a biscuit."

    Cat F. (5/5)

    Smooth cuppa

"This is really great with oat milk. Subtle, soothing flavour with depth of feeling of a good breakfast tea."

    Faith F. (5/5)

    not a fan

"I unfortunately didn’t like this one at all, I love pistachio and I love mint, but this had a really strong marzipan flavour to me which I am not a fan of. I see there’s a new pistachio flavoured chocolate tea though, so I will try that one!"

    Dylan (1/5)

    Gorgeous

"A really good tea to sip on after a meal."

    Tracey (5/5)

"Really tasty, although would be better if pistachios were actually one of the ingredients"

    Q&A

Hiya, I'm confused as to how a pistachio tea "may contain" nuts rather than actually containing them? Obviously I see the Nutella pancake teas are listed as "now nut free," so I just wanted to double check this one. Thanks
Hi Amelie, So sorry for any confusion caused. All our blends have the may contain nuts warning due to our teas are hand packed in the UK in environments that handle many different blending ingredients and we cannot 100% guarantee no cross-contamination. Therefore all blends may contain traces of: wheat, nuts, peanuts, milk, soya, mustard, sesame and sulphites, therefore this allergen warning. This blend does not contain nuts as a ingredient at all, the ingredients are as follows; Sri Lankan Black Tea, Peppermint, Cardamom, Natural Flavouring. With all of our blends, we only use natural ingredients. We have to use the word 'flavouring' for naturally derived flavours and extracts due to EU legislation that came in mid 2015. A great way to think about flavouring is the oils and essences that are used in classic British teas like Earl Grey, with lovely bergamot oil added to give it a lovely citrus hit. It's exactly the same as when another EU legislation came in about having the use bold and all caps for allergens. An example of this would be ALMONDS. Natural flavourings are made of components only derived from nature, as opposed to artificial flavours or nature-identical flavours which are the chemical equivalent of natural flavourings but are chemically synthesised rather than being extracted from natural raw materials. Natural flavourings are not necessarily made from the ingredients that you would assume they are. For example, our natural almond flavouring contains no actual nuts whatsoever! Although we can tell customers that we have used a "natural strawberry flavouring", a "natural caramel flavouring" etc. we cannot legally use this to describe the contents of the tea blend in a technical capacity as the natural caramel flavouring oil will not have been made using caramel (and certainly not 95% or more caramel). I am, however, able to confirm that the recipe for the flavouring oil that is used contains only natural ingredients and does not contain any allergens. I would also add that any ingredients in the natural flavouring would be a very small amount (less than trace). For a list of all our teas with allergens and the term flavouring, we have an allergens page on our UniversiTEA page of our website. I really hope that helps and please let me know if you have any further questions. Happy sipping!
