This recipe comes from Molly in our Norwich store, it’s the perfect cooler for hot days, or a tasty treat at a dinner party too!
If you’ve ever sipped a Bird & Blend tea in your favourite local cafe, you might have tried this light & refreshing blend before! Sunny Sencha has previously been exclusively available to our hospitality partners, but it’s such a great blend, it’s about time we made it available to our Teabirds, too. This simple, classic tea is perfect for green tea lovers who want to try something a little different.
As it is our first time introducing you to this blend, we wanted to have some fun with it, so Molly made this fabulously fizzy recipe for you to try! Learn how to make this sweet treat below!
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- 3 Perfect Tea Spoons of Sunny Sencha tea
- 150ml 80° water
- 1 pump Rose Syrup
- A cocktail shaker filled with ice
- 150ml Lemonade
- Cucumber to garnish
WHAT TO DO:
- Start by making a tea concentrate. To do this, brew 3 Perfect Tea Spoons of Sunny Sencha tea in 150ml of 80° water for 4 mins; this temperature of water is so you do not burn your leaves, which results in a bitter taste. We use our Brewdini Gravity Steeper for perfect mess-free brewing.
- Add ice into your shaker, then strain the concentrate over the top of this
- Add a pump of rose syrup
- Shake, shake, shake!
- Strain into a glass of your choice
- Top up with lemonade
- Garnish with a cucumber rose! Use a veggie peeler to peel a strip of cucumber, then curl up and use a cocktail stick to secure it, then pop it on top, delish!
