The detachable stainless steel lid and infuser clips off easily & we would recommend washing them by hand in hot soapy water.

"The function of this teapot regards the tea holder and how it works flipping niftily up and out once steeped to preference is outstanding, 5 star all the way. The aesthetic is also five star. However, even pre warming the glass pot and using a tea cosy does not keep the tea piping hot for barely any time. Therefore, as this pot comfortably holds three small cups of tea, or two large, it would be best to use when you have company, or drink up quick. If there was a double walled insulated version of this teapot it would be five star all the way. I am not however disappointed with my purchase and would still recommend with the above advice."
