    How to make a hot matcha

    • matcha spoon

      Step 1

      1/2 tsp

    • mature 80 degree water temperature

      Step 2

      Add splash of 80° water

    • matcha bamboo whisk

      Step 3

      Whisk in a 'W' shape until frothy

      Top up with hot water or milk

    How to make iced matcha

    • matcha spoon

      Step 1

      1/2 tsp

    • mature 80 degree water temperature

      Whisk in a 'W' shape until frothy

      Pour on top of ice with water, lemonade or milk

    I used the recommended amount however the strawberry tasted artificial and the matcha itself was very weak. I am disappointed as I have wasted £20 which isn’t cheap :(

    More zingy that creamy.

    I crept slowly, making hesitant circles around this tea. After my previous adventures with matcha, I was hoping that my cat would knock it off the counter when I turned around, but she was too busy with the sparrow outside the window to save me.

    I took a few deep breaths and thought: "You're an adult! "You can do it" and I took the first reassuring sip. I experienced a shock comparable to the first time I drove my dad's car and mistook the brake for the gas pedal when entering the garage.

    The taste was amazing! Really! I filled the shot with apple juice, afraid of the green nastiness, and meanwhile I discovered fruit salad in my mouth.

    A sour apple tart finished with a smooth, sweet strawberry - a real summer one, not sickly, you know.

    I recommend it with a clear conscience
